The Christmas Festival is a very prestigious concert that the Music & Arts Service organises each year at Bradford Cathedral, 1 Stott Hill, Bradford, BD1 4EH on Tuesday 12 December 2017 at 7.00 pm.
The Music & Arts Service would like to invite pupils playing violins, violas, cellos, or double basses up to Grade 1 standard to take part in a massed string orchestra to perform at this fantastic event. There is a limit as to how big the orchestra can be due to space in the Cathedral, so pupils will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
In addition to their performance, there will be some wonderful choral, wind band and brass band items. You will also have the chance to enjoy mulled wine whilst singing carols to get you in the festive spirit.
There will be a massed rehearsal for everyone taking part in the orchestra on Saturday 2 December at Titus Salt School, Higher Coach Road, Baildon, Shipley BD17 5RH, 9am – 11am. Please make sure you can attend this as well as the concert at the Cathedral.
➡ On 12 December, please make arrangements for your child to arrive at the Cathedral at 6pm.
Please note: if you arrive before this please enter the building silently as there is a service taking place until 6pm.
➡ The concert will start at 7.00pm, and will end at approximately 9.15pm.
Video recordings and photographs will take place during the concert and they may also be used by the Music and Arts Service in promotional material.
Due to space restrictions, tickets must be ordered in advance from the Music & Arts Service priced £5 and £3 (concessions). Please call 01274 434970, OR email firstname.lastname@example.org
The dress code for this event is: usual uniform
➡ CLOSING DATE IS FRIDAY, 20 OCTOBER 2017.
