Margaret Connor was a Leeds secondary teacher who published a book about fabric collage in 1969, as well as various collections of poetry. Her accomplishments include membership of the Embroider’s Guild, several city exhibitions both with and without her pupils, and poetry.
She sadly died in 2013. However, Margaret’s legacy lives on as she has kindly left some examples of her varied and stunning textile artwork in trust to Bradford Schools.
A gallery of her work is below and any/all pieces are available to schools for exhibition or educational purposes to support or complement project work.
