Job Introduction

Bradford Music & Arts Service is a highly successful service and the lead organisation for the West Yorkshire Music. It provides wide ranging musical opportunities for children and young people who live or go to school in the Bradford MDC area.

The service works in close partnership with schools and the local community and a number of delivery organisations to ensure that a broad range of high-quality music provision is available, accessible and affordable to all children and young people.

We are particularly looking to increase our team with:

Bradford Youth Orchestra Director

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring musical director for the Bradford Youth Orchestra. The orchestra is forward thinking and regularly explores exciting partnerships with a wide variety of organisations; past events have involved a Soul Band and a Rapper and working with a TV production company for a documentary. The orchestra holds bi-annual residential weekends, tours abroad bi-annually and participates in local, regional and national events. We are also looking for:

Working within a thriving team of instrumental/vocal music teachers, the successful applicants will teach in every area of Whole Class Instrumental Lessons, individuals, small groups and direct ensembles to a high standard throughout the district and at the Music Centres.
