Being Hockney
The exhibition was `BEING HOCKNEY`@ Trapezium Gallery Bradford organised by Lynne Dobson Yorkshire artist
Including amazing artists aged 4yrs -16yrs putting on a spectacular display of Hockney style artwork.
When David Hockney’s name is mentioned the first image that comes to mind tends to be his colourful landscapes.
The work here though goes beyond this as artists were asked to look at one of these three areas
- STILL LIFE…………..
Painting of a vase of flowers. A selection of objects on a table. Use an alternative to paint e,g, pastels collage etc
Look at Hockney`s `Four Flowers`, Taj Hotel Laundry room/yellow hat`, `My Shirt and Trousers`
- FAMILY ……… Try a clay model on a 20cms square board, of a person on chair and paint in bright colours. Make a diorama in a shoebox or similar OR a painting
Look at Hockney`s `Mr and Mrs Clarke`, `My Parents`
- PORTRAITS………. Pencil drawings, self-portrait, paintings
Look at Hockney`s `Celia`, `Mother`, Maurice` `The New Yorker` `Harry Styles`
