EID CARD COMPETITION
ELECTRONIC EID CARD COMPETITION 2026
The Department of Children’s Services are running our Eid competition for the third year following last two years success and invite all the young people of Bradford to produce two images that can be used in celebration cards for the Council to be sent out during the two Eid celebrations in 2026.
Judges will be looking for imaginative and eye-catching designs that can be used for:
- Eid al-Fitr March 2026
- Eid al-Adha June 2026
Take inspiration from traditional Eid cards and images but give that special local touch to the design. Nine different winners will be chosen to be made into official electronic cards for:
- Strategic Director of Children’s Services
- Lord Mayor
- Chief Executive of Bradford Council
- Music & Arts Service
- Strategic Director of Corporate Services
- Director of Human Resources
- West Yorkshire Pension Fund
- Department of Place
- Adult Social Care
Winning schools will recive a cerificate and a prize .
Please open the competition to your whole school but please shortlist the entries yourself and send one design for each celebration to represent your school, this could be collaborative.
Please take a quality photograph of each entry and cut and paste into a single word document for the whole school. Google documents not accepted
Could we ask that all designs – photography, drawing, painting or collage have the following details with the work.
- Pupil Name or Group Name,
- Year Group,
- Key Stage
- School name
Entries should be in Word format, include staff contact name, email address and total number of school entries and emailed to anthony.bullock@bradford.gov.uk. Please keep hold of any original entries as we may ask for the paper copy if it is chosen as a winner.
All entries must be received by THURSDAY 12 February 2025
Winning schools will be informed prior to use of their design.

Eid al-Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice is the second and the largest of the two main holidays celebrated in Islam. It honours the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son, Ismail, as an act of obedience to God’s command.
